Are you in need of a good but cheap gaming chair? Are you tired of scouring the Internet looking for deals on and sifting through review after review in search of the best budget gaming chair on the market today?

If this is you, we’ve got you covered.

Our team has put in hours of research, and found the 15 best budget gaming chairs that won’t burn a hole in your wallet. These are guaranteed to keep your tushie cushy, whether you’re on PC, PS4, or XBOX ONE.

What are the best budget gaming chairs? Here’s a quick rundown of the best cheap gaming chairs for PCs on our list:

Invalid table id.

Before we get to the list, I’m going to be honest with you. If your budget is $100 or less, it’s slim pickings out there.

However, if you have between $100-$200 to spend , it’s like a whole new world. This is really the sweet spot. In fact, most of the PC gaming chairs we’ll be reviewing fall somewhere within this price range.

Once you get below $100, it starts to get really hard to find gaming chairs that you either wouldn’t have to replace in short order, or that aren’t flimsy or wobbly. Overall build quality definitely starts to become an issue, and we can’t (in good conscience) recommend any lemons.

At that point, we felt it was more cost effective to spend a little more buck to get a whole lot more bang (if you check out our #1 pick, you’ll see what we mean).

Lastly, we didn’t consider any gaming chairs over $230. In our opinion, they can’t really be considered “budget” at that level.

However, if you were interested in dropping some serious dollars for some serious bum comfort, you can check out our gigantic post on the best PC gaming chairs here.

Look, the bottom line (terrible weak pun intended) is that you’re probably going to be spending a lot of time sitting in this bad boy. Forking out an extra $30-$50 above and beyond that initial $100 is going to be worth it – we promise your butt and back will thank you.

Runner Up #1: Vitesse Ergonomic

No products found.

Vitesse is a company that specializes in both gaming chairs and desks, and this is one of the best options out there for gamers on a budget – hands down, bar none, especially if you’re trying to balance comfort with cost.

This PC gaming chair makes no sacrifices despite its reasonable price, and it’s simply the best cheap gaming chair we could find (if cushiness is all you care about, then check out our guide on the most comfortable gaming chair).

The Vitesse ergonomic gaming chair is made with premium leather, has solid lumbar support for your lower back, is incredibly stable, and the metal frame is staunch enough to support gamers up to 300 lbs. This is your butt-base to get you through those long hours of gaming.

The seat is well-cushioned with lots of padding, and the high back racing style bucket seat provides an exceptionally snug feel when seated.

Furthermore, Vitesse’s customer service is solid, with quick responses and complimentary replacement on the chair and/or parts guarantee for any quality related problems within 90 days of purchase. Satisfaction guaranteed doesn’t get lovelier than that.

Best Gaming Chair Under $100: BestOffice PC Gaming Chair

No products found.

Here it is, your cheap AF pick. This is one of the best budget gaming chairs out there, and is really the only chair for gaming under that $100 price point we’d recommend. Even then it’s third on our list.

And as far as “best budget gaming chairs” go, this one places strong emphasis on the “budget” part. As in, if you’re a college student, and you need something cheap that’s also aesthetically pleasing, this is your best bet.

Dollar for dollar and pound for pound, it’s just a really good cheap computer gaming chair at a rock-bottom price.

The Best Office is pretty comfortable and the leather used is soft. The seat area could have more padding, but it’s not the end of the world.

Most importantly, it’s going to last. Despite it’s low price tag, the overall build quality is quite good, and putting it together was a cinch.

Moving around in it went well, and extended PC sessions in this shouldn’t be a problem, which is one of the key criteria to us after overall cost.

  • Best budget option
  • 90 day warranty
  • Easy to assemble

  • Lumbar support is not adjustable
  • Armrests feel a little cheap

Good Budget Gaming Chair: OFM Essentials

No products found.

The OFM Racing Style Gaming Chair is another premium leather option at a decent price. Their bread and butter is office chairs and desks, but they have recently branched out into the gaming niche, and this is one of their top-selling products.

One thing that sets the OFM apart from other gaming chairs is how the armrests are attached – they’re fixed to the back of the chair, leaving the sides open for your legs and hips to fit underneath.

This might appeal to you if you enjoy sitting cross-legged, or if you have wider hips and need extra space. And while you can’t adjust the height of the armrests, you can adjust the angle.

Assembly might be a little more challenging than other chairs in this guide, but the OFM itself is quite comfortable and can support up to 275 lbs of weight. The contour of the high back is especially nice, and feels like you’re being enveloped in cushion.

The mesh threading on the backrest also helps to provide some airflow. My back gets quite hot if I’m leaning against a leather surface for an extended period of time.

  • Key feature: armrest positioning allows for legs to move freely underneath
  • Chair is comfortable even if you are on the larger side
  • Material: SofThread leather and mesh

  • Assembly might be a little challenging
  • No neck pillow

Healgen Gaming Chair

No products found.

Healgen specializes in making some of the best PC gaming chairs out there, and their latest model features a metal base to accompany the metal body to add to overall sturdiness, and adjustable lumbar and armrest supports – all for a reasonable price.

The back can recline down to 155 degrees, and the chair has a load capacity of 300 pounds.

A key feature that might sound silly is that the wheels run really smooth, allowing you to move freely. I mean, seriously smooth. Like butter. This might especially useful if you have several gaming stations at your desk, and you need to scoot between them.

Healgen has a wide line of gaming chairs, and all purchases are covered by a 30 day refund policy, as well as a 2 year warranty on the chair parts.

  • Chair has highly customizable settings
  • Rolls smoothly
  • Responsive customer support

  • Slightly higher price point

Best 300 lbs+: HEALGEN Back Massage Gaming Chair

No products found.

This is the second HEALGEN ergonomic gaming chair on this list, and we had to include it because it is the best option for gamers who weigh 300 pounds or more. In fact, the chair is rated for up to 375 lbs.

The seat is extra wide, and the backrest has a good amount of recline angle range. The chair itself is made with high density foam and PVC leather, for a long-lasting finish that is easily cleaned and won’t fade.

The frame is, of course, metal, and we can’t stress how solid and sturdy of a chair this is. The lumbar pillow is detachable, and comes with a USB port to plug in, so it vibrates.

Setup of the chair is pretty straightforward, and customer support and the overall warranty on the product itself is good.

  • Great for people with a larger body (300 pounds or more)
  • Chair features a lumbar massage pillow
  • Good ergonomics for posture
  • Maximum weight capacity of 375 lbs

  • Might be too large if you have a smaller build
  • No color options

LUCKWIND Video Gaming Chair Racing Recliner

No products found.

LUCKWIND is actually a manufacturer of patio and bathroom furniture, and has only recently broadened out into creating gaming chairs. While you may not have heard of them, the company has fantastic customer service, and all their products come with a limited 2-year warranty.

A key feature of the LUCKWIND is that it’s very cushy, and provides excellent support – especially if you suffer from lower back pain. The winged back provides a fitted feel, and the armrests are well padded. The PU leather is also weather-resistant. Just in case…you know…it gets wet or something.

Setup of the chair should take 45 minutes or less. You’ll find that while most of the parts are plastic, it’s really thick and sturdy plastic. In fact, the chair supports up to 325 lbs.

The LUCKWIND also features an adjustable footrest, for added comfort. If having a footrest is an absolute deal breaker for you, we recommend checking out the best gaming chairs with footrests here.

Ultimately, if you’re looking to upgrade, this is a cheap PC gaming chair option you might want to consider. We just wish we had more choices when it came to color swatches.

  • Large, sturdy build
  • Excellent customer service
  • 2 year limited warranty
  • Decent weight capacity
  • Material: PU leather

  • Could use more color options
  • Plastic is sturdy, but it’s still plastic
  • Doesn’t recline as far as some other options
  • No neck pillow

VON RACER Massage Gaming Chair

No products found.

Colors, colors, colors. Thankfully, one of the gaming chairs we found has a wide gamut of color swatches to choose from to match that of your gaming setup. It’s also nice to see some feminine colors in the mix, too – not all gamers are guys.

As a company, VON RACER makes some of the best gaming chairs out there, and we actually reviewed this chair in our best big and tall gaming chair guide. We’re stoked it made it to this list, too.

A lot of the things we mentioned there are still relevant here. However, one feature we feel that really stands out is the electric massage piece in the backrest. It’s USB-powered, and the pulses are quite strong, and help relieve lower back pain and tension in your shoulders.

Other features we liked were the wide, flat seat, which provides ample space to wiggle around in, and the full 360 degree swivel.

The reinforced base and integrated metal frame also helps provide stability and rigidity for people who weight a little more, and the one year warranty should be enough to cover any mishaps that may arise.

This chair is one we’d especially recommend if you’re over 6′ tall.

  • Great for larger gamers
  • Lumbar massage feature
  • Solid 1 year warranty on parts

  • Chair might be a little squeaky

Musso Massage Gaming Chair

No products found.

Like a lot of the other options in this round up, this ergonomic gaming chair features removable lumbar bar supports (just in case it gets a bit too much for your back), and adjustable headrest pillow, armrests, and footrest.

It has a decent max reclining range of 140 degrees, 3.2″ of height adjustment, and a solid metal frame. The high quality PU leather and high-density cushion seat also provides excellent support, comfort, and permeability.

One thing that was really useful were the assembly videos on their Amazon page. That really helped to guide and speed up the process of putting the chair together.

They have a 1 year damaged parts warranty, and a one month replacement guarantee.

  • Chair can support up to 300 pounds
  • Lumbar massage for your back
  • Footrest
  • Headrest for neck support
  • Material: PU leather

  • Product support may be difficult to get in contact with

BestOffice Ergonomic PC Gaming Chair

No products found.

The BestOffice is a great reasonable pick. Some key features include the seat covering done up in PU leather, full 360 degree swivel, and a moderate max recline of 155 degrees.

A key feature is the seat width – it’s extra wide at 20.9″ allowing for a lot of extra wiggle space.

The footrest and lumbar support are adjustable, but the armrests are not. We feel armrest adjustability in PC gaming chairs is really key, so we dinged it a few points for this. The USB-powered massage only has one setting, but it is pleasant.

Setup is fairly simple, and this is a good option for the price.

  • Chair has a wide tilt range
  • Lumbar massage
  • Headrest for neck support
  • Footrest
  • Material: PU leather

  • Lower weight limit
  • Armrests are not adjustable

Fortnite RAVEN-X Gaming Chair (RAVEN-04)

No products found.

OK, you may or may not enjoy Fortnite, but the only reason why it made it here (it’s normally quite expensive), is because it typically goes on sale for a huge chunk off its MSRP, and when it does, it’s an incredible deal.

If you’re looking for something that can stand up to both intense gaming marathons and long workdays, this is a really good option.

OFM is a major furniture company, and they’ve been around since 1995. RESPAWN is their line of gaming gear. As such, they have a super awesome limited lifetime warranty on their products. If that isn’t proof that the chair is durable, I don’t know what is.

Their official Fortnite edition chair is made with high quality molded foam seat and segmented padding, and has a moderate tilt range with a max of 130 degrees.

The high back helps provide support, and the chair features a full 360 degrees of rotation, meaning you have complete freedom of movement while seated.

It’s not leather, but the materials used are stain resistant, and assembly should also be a cinch.

  • Fortnite branded chair
  • Lifetime warranty – probably the best out of any of the warranties in this guide
  • High levels of adjustability

  • Fortnite branded chair
  • Armrests could use more cushioning
  • The package its shipped in could be reinforced a little better – it sometimes arrives in damaged condition.

Best Cheap Gaming Chair with Speakers

Our Pick: GTRACING Music

GTRACING often has the lowest price, a wider selection, provides complimentary shipping, and also gives you an extended 2 year warranty for free.

If you’re looking for a chair for gamers that also has speakers, look no further than this GTRACING option here. Even standalone as a chair, this is a great buy for a low price. Furthermore, it sometimes goes on sale for up to $70 off. When it does, it really is a must buy.

The bluetooth speakers on this bad boy has a range of ~5 meters, and can run for 5-6 hours on a single charge. That’s a long time.

The chair itself has a strong metal frame, and features a max recline of 170 degrees, which is tremendous. Couple that with the retractable footrest, and you can almost lay flat on this thing.

The ergonomics are also solid, and you can remove or adjust the lumbar support to help ease any back tension, as well as adjust the height of the armrests.

As with all other GTRACING products, this chair is covered by a solid factory warranty and should last you a very long time.

  • Bluetooth speakers
  • Chair has great recline range
  • Weight capacity: 300 lbs
  • Headrest for neck support
  • Material: PU leather

  • May need an adapter to work with the PS4 Pro

Cheap AF Option: X Rocker Drift Gaming Chair

No products found.

OK, you wanted cheap, you got cheap. As far as cheap gaming chairs go this is one of the cheapest you’ll see.

There aren’t very many types of gaming chairs out there, but X Rockers tend to stand out because unlike most PC gaming chairs, they don’t have a traditional base; the chair rests directly on the ground. This allows for some comfortable rocking (hence the name).

There’s also a 4″ sub in the chair along with the two speakers near the head, providing some awesome bass you’ll feel directly in your back.

  • Weight capacity: 275lbs
  • 4″ subwoofer in the chair
  • No assembly necessary
  • It’s loud

  • Need an additional HDMI converters to work with a PS4 or XBOX One
  • Actual product is narrower than the dimensions stated, so this might not be ideal for people who are on the larger side
No products found.

If you want to see a fuller list of gaming chairs with speakers, we reviewed 13 here.

In Third Place: GTRanger Gaming Chair with Speakers

No products found.

The GTRanger is a racing style chair with Bluetooth speakers. Price point-wise, it’s situated right between the GTRACING and X Rocker.

It features an awesome max tilt of 180% which is cool for ergonomics, but you might feel a little weird with nowhere to prop your feet up when that low. The base is metal, but it doesn’t feel as sturdy or as rigid as some of the others we tested.

The seat cushion is nice and thick with lots of extra padding, and the entire chair is done up with PU leather, for a smooth, cool feel. The wing-shaped back also helps give you a fully “enveloped” feel when sitting.

Purchases are backed by a 1-year warranty, and assembly should be relatively quick, since the chair arrives mostly put together. However, be forewarned that there have been reports of several screws not lining up with the thread-holes.

  • Solid warranty
  • Crazy recline feature
  • Material: PU leather

  • May have alignment issues with the screws when assembling
  • Will most likely need an adapter to connect with newer consoles

People Also Ask

Are PC Gaming Chairs Worth It?

Other than a few bells and whistles, not much sets gaming chairs apart from office chairs. However, if for just a few dollars more, you can get lumbar support, better cushioning, an ergonomic design, and a slick design aesthetic, why not? Especially if it helps set the tone for your gaming experience.

If you’re only looking for the best PC gaming chairs and are looking to drop $400+, well, we might have to have a talk with your wallet. But for $100-$200, we think that that’s not so bad a price. Consider it an investment in your overall posture and wellness.

This is where our picks of good budget gaming chairs really starts to shine.

What is the Best Gaming Chair Under $100?

If you absolutely need something under $100, then our recommendation is the BestOffice PC Gaming Chair.

It’s cheap, pretty comfortable, and built to last. Assembly is easy and straightforward, and it has good mobility to boot.

What to Look For When Browsing Cheap PC Gaming Chairs?

We get it. You love video games and want something reasonable that matches your setup and profile. And yet there’s tons of gaming chairs at a billion different price points out there. How do you sift through them all?

11 Best Gaming Chairs Under $200
5 Best Gaming Chairs Under $100

Things to Consider

Here’s some of the key details we recommend looking for when browsing for gaming chairs.

First, can you afford it? If the price tag is too high, there’s not much that can be done about that. You don’t need the absolute best gaming chair that requires you to sell a kidney – we have to stick to what’s within our budget.

Then, does it fit your body type? You’re going to be spending some long hours in this bad boy, so make sure it fits like that proverbial glove, and that the seat padding ample.

Keep your height in mind, as well as how wide your hips are. Do you want the ability to recline, or prop your feet up? Is sitting cross-legged while gaming important to you? These are all things to ask yourself.

Finally, how’s the build quality of the chair? Is it made of metal, or at least sturdy plastic? Is it something that’s going to last? If a part breaks, how is the warranty?

Types of Gaming Chairs

We can categorize gaming chairs into roughly five different types:

  • Racing style gaming chairs
  • Office gaming chairs
  • Rocker gaming chairs
  • Bean bag gaming chairs
  • Pedestal gaming chairs

Racing and office “gaming” chairs are by far the most popular, as they work well with a traditional desk combo. Most models have wheels, allowing you to move around while remaining seated. The majority of the chairs in this guide fall in to one of these two categories.

Rocker gaming chairs are great for living room play, but not so ideal if you have a desk. They’re comfortable to lounge in, but finding a size that fits you if you’re a little larger might be tough. Many models have speakers and subs embedded inside, giving you a real surround-sound experience. Unlike racing and office chairs, rockers rest right on the ground.

Bean bag gaming chairs are not as common as the previous three. Like the rocker gaming chair, you won’t be able to move around in these, but many models are quite comfortable. However, they don’t really provide much spine or back support, so if you suffer from back pain, this might not be a good option.

I’ve personally never seen a pedestal gaming chair, but if you’re one of those people that need a ton of stability, this type is for you. There aren’t any wheels, and the base sits directly on the ground. So unlike the racing/office models, there’s a much lower risk of these falling over when reclining back.

In Closing, Are There Good Cheap Gaming Chairs?

Despite our relatively short roll call of chairs, you can see that there are numerous types of gaming chairs out there for all body and play style types at all kinds of price points.

But more importantly, we hope you see that you can be frugal and comfortable at the same time. Going on the cheap doesn’t mean you have to sit on a wooden block for 8 hours.

We hope that one of the picks from these curated chairs save you a few (hundred) dollars, and gives you and your bum hours (days/months/years) of comfort.

May your long gaming marathons be blessed with wins, and may your tush and back be always supported by plush loveliness.
