The lines are drawn in the sand. We have now more or less all picked our sides in the console wars in the past few months, with the exception of the bizarrely zealous Sony and Microsoft fanboys who have been crusading for, perhaps, eons. Still, despite the bloodshed, both sides should be sharing a glowing excitement for the releases to come, with each console having a decent share of titillating titles. The next year or two should see the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One come into their own in terms of the difference between the current gen and the last, and there are clearly plenty of opportunities for console crusaders on both sides to crush, maim and decapitate each other.
Below is a list consisting of 59 of the biggest games that we will see for Sony and Microsoft’s consoles in the coming year (in alphabetical order). Of course, there are plenty of fantastic indie games and other titles in the works that you won’t see here, but these are more or less the 59 games that will be driving the industry forward in the not-too-distant future. This ladies and gents, is the new generation.
