Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly may have been tasked with developing a new Gears of War trilogy. Of the prequel kind.
That’s according to the rumor section of US Official Xbox Magazine’s latest issue (via), which sees “a prequel trilogy developed by Epic-owned People Can Fly (Bulletstorm) as a likely scenario”.
Epic Games on its part has never denied adding to the series, with design man Cliff Bleszinski even having hinted they may take a Hobbit-like approach now that the main trilogy is completed.
But, true or not, with the Raam’s Shadow downloadable content due out soon, players will get a prequel Gears story one way or the other.
