The title doesn’t lie, a study done by a money saving website in the UK has revealed that Xbox 360 owners are the best in the bedroom. Voucher Codes Pro conducted a survey of 1,747 gamers’ partners from around the UK as part of research into external influences on relationships.
The survey asked the participants if their partner plays videogames in their leisure time and if so they were asked ‘Which games console does your partner play on most frequently?’. The Xbox 360 was the most common console with 31% of the vote, the PlayStation 3 was next at 26%, the Wii U or the Wii was at 12%, and the PC was 10%.
One of the follow up questions asked was ‘How would you rate your partner in the bedroom?’ and gave them a list of options to choose from which resulted in the following:
- Excellent – 11%
- Very Good – 14%
- Good – 27%
- Average – 26%
- Below Average – 20%
Unfortunately for the gaming community, nearly half of the gamers were voted as being only ‘Average’ or below, looks like we have some work to do. When they broke the survey down and looked at data for specific consoles, it was found that Xbox 360 owners were the best in the bedroom with 54% of them being described as ‘Good’ or above and 22% being regarded as ‘Excellent’. The closest contender to the Xbox 360 were the Wii U or Wii owners, they were described as being ‘Good’ or above 47% of the time.
The lowest scoring of all the gamers were the PC gamers, with only 3% being described as ‘Excellent’ and 8% regarded as ‘Very Good’. It was also discovered that 52% of the participants felt that there was a good balance between the frequency of gaming compared to sex, 21% wanting more sex, and 11% claiming they wanted ‘less sex, more gaming’ from their partner. That 11% group must be getting some bad sex.
As great as this is for Xbox 360 owners, you need to take this survey with a grain of salt. It’s only one small survey done in only one country, the results could have been drastically different if this exact survey was done in a different country.
This doesn’t mean you can’t use the information to make fun of PC gamers and try “Hey baby, you want to have a 22% chance of having an ‘Excellent’ time tonight?” as a pick up line. Lord knows I will.
