While Microsoft man Aaron Greenberg’s been saying that the price for Kinect is “not yet determined” — following several retailers listing it for $149.99 — Don Mattrick says otherwise.
“I know the price,” he said in a recent interview, also adding: “I think you’re going to really like the price.”
The senior VP of interactive entertainment also commented on the competition, saying: “it’s gonna be a tough holiday for Sony”.
“We sat through the other competitive press briefings and people were very pleased with our position. I like being at Microsoft this holiday.”
Why keep the price a secret then? “We think we’re going to get more coverage,” he said.
Kinect will launch this November, starting with North America on the 4th.
