Activision’s Guitar Hero franchise may make a comeback a year from now. Rumor has it a new game will be announced some weeks ahead of next year’s E3 in June, with the game making a splash at the show.
That’s according to a source from the publisher who points at ‘holiday 2012′ as the release window.
That seems to go against Activison man Dan Winters’ words from April though, so keep that grain of salt handy: “..the brand won’t go away,” Winters said. “We’re just not making a new one for next year, that’s all.”
