Expect to get 3x the mileage out of this year’s Need for Speed: The Run than any other game in the series before it; the fall-bound title has tripled the amount of tarmac compared to its predecessors.
“We’ve got over 300km of race track in the game this year,” revealed executive producer Jason DeLong at E3 earlier in the month. “We were able to, with Frostbite [2], create more than three times the track than has been in any previous Need for Speed.”
The Run is a story-based title, focusing on a high-stakes race across the US, from San Francisco to New York.
“We really wanted that epic journey to come across,” DeLong says.
The game’s out in November; the 15th in the US, 17th in Europe.
