Those 12 new characters packed into Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will not be available via downloadable means.
Capcom’s confirmed that the new fighters and other content — new stages/modes, spectator mode, refined fighting system — will be released on disc only. Initially, at least.
“Right now, we’re only thinking about releasing a disc version,” producer Ryota Niitsuma tells Siliconera.
“Given the development schedule, there wasn’t enough time to work out all of the details to release it as downloadable content, as well … there is so much data in the game it was easier to go this route.”
Those wanting to have it all will just have to dish out the $39.99.
Ultimate is out this November.
