It’s been a long time waiting but Final Fantasy 7 Remake finally has a solid release date and just to keep fans from exploding with anticipation, the demo is now available for download and it’s free.
Race through the Mako Reactor 1 as Cloud, Barret, and the Avalanche team as they fight through robots and guards to accomplish their bombing mission. Long time fans and newcomers will enjoy the industrial scenery packed with posters, crates, Shinra boxes Cloud can take out his frustrations on, and of course enemies.
This demo completes the first chapter of the game, taking no more than an hour complete but won’t hold out on battles, mini-bosses, and one final boss that will have you questioning the difficulty of future bosses. Get to know Cloud and Barret and their fighting styles as they team up to take on Shinra.
Biggs, Wedge, and Jesse get a little more attention and character development as seen in the demo. The Avalanche team may not play an extended role in the overall game, but their small part is given the credit it’s due and it’s nice to see them in updated graphics.
The complete Final Fantasy 7 Remake will take place in Midgard as the repercussions of the reactor bombing are further explored and Cloud meets up with other party members including the ever beloved Tifa and Aerith. Everyone is looking forward to meeting the gang and seeing the new components that were added to the game, as well as nods to the original.
For anyone who downloads the demo before May 11, they will also get the exclusive theme when the game comes out. Final Fantasy 7 Remake will launch next month, April 10, and fans can’t wait! Playing through the demo may help to satisfy some of that built-up anticipation, and excitement, but may also leave you hungry for more.
