A “mysterious source” of Dtoid‘s has told the site that 2K Games is developing a BioShock MMO. This as thin as rumors come though, so don’t go setting aside any allowance for the monthly fees quite yet; there’s no information on which studio is developing it, how far along it is or when to expect it, sadly. Or, obviously, even if it’s true.
Take-Two has hinted at plans to turn the franchise into an MMO in the past though.
Around the time EA was looking to buy up mothership Take-Two back in 2008, chairman Strauss Zelnick listed a BioShock MMO/online game as a ‘potentially untapped opportunity’. So you never know.
