There’s more than meets the eye to these sharp-witted villagers though – read on to find out!

Identifying Weaponsmith Villagers

Identifying Weaponsmith Villagers

If you find a village, you might be lucky enough to find a weaponsmith already living there. You can identify them by their brown clothes and unique black eye patch – they must have accidentally poked their eye out when sharpening a sword!

they will look slightly different depending on the biome you found them in, as each biome will give them a unique set of clothes and colors – although they all have the eyepatch.

If you don’t find a weaponsmith, no need to worry, as you can make them pretty easily…

How to Make a Weaponsmith Villager Minecraft

The process to craft weaponsmith villagers in Minecraft is easy – all you need is an unemployed villager and a grindstone.

Place the grindstone nearby unemployed villagers, and eventually one will use the grindstone as their job blocks – then giving them the profession weaponsmith.

Place the grindstone nearby unemployed villager

To make a grindstone, you need two wooden planks, two sticks, and a stone slab.

make a grindstone

Place the planks on either side of the middle row of your crafting table, and place the two sticks above the planks. Then place the stone slab in the top center crafting slot!

To make a stone slab, you need to make stone – which is created by smelting blocks of cobblestone in a furnace. Then place three blocks of stone in a row in your crafting table to make 6 stone slabs. Note, that the recipe requires stone, rather than cobblestone blocks.

Using Commands

If you’re in creative mode or have cheats enabled, you can use the weaponsmith command to automatically summon weaponsmith villagers.

The command to create weaponsmith villagers is as follows:

  • /summon villager ~ ~ ~ {VillagerData:{profession:weaponsmith, level:5, type:plains}}

Simply type this command into the chat line and hit enter

Of course, you can change the level from anywhere between 1 and 5, and you can choose any biome you fancy. You can also put this line into a command block which can be triggered by a redstone signal.

Conclusion

With your new weaponsmith, you’ll have easy access to some of the most powerful weapons in the game – and an easy way to trade up to them using coal, iron, and other loot! This can give you a quick advantage over other Minecraft players if you’re playing an online server
